Yash Raj Films required a centralized HRMS platform to streamline internal operations across departments. The system was built to manage employee records, attendance, payroll workflows, and internal requests through a single interface. I was involved in both designing the user experience and developing key parts of the system, focusing on usability, efficiency, and scalability for a large media organization.
Objective
Simplifies HR workflows for employees and administrators
Reduces manual processes
Improves data visibility and accuracy
Works smoothly across roles and access levels
Scales with organizational needs
My Role
UI/UX Designer and Developer
Responsible for interface design, user flows, component layouts, front end development, and collaboration with backend teams.
Design Process
I worked with stakeholders to map real HR processes including onboarding, leave management, attendance tracking, document uploads, and approvals. This helped surface pain points such as fragmented systems and slow approvals.
Role based dashboards were designed for Employees, Managers, and HR administrators. Each dashboard surfaced only what mattered most to that user group, reducing complexity and training time.
The UI followed YRF’s corporate branding while keeping the interface clean and productivity focused. Key design choices: Clear hierarchy for data heavy screens, Table and form optimization, Consistent spacing and components, Status indicators for approvals and requests.
On the development side, I worked on: Implementing front end screens, Integrating APIs with backend services, Form validations and workflows, Responsive layouts for desktop use, Role based UI rendering.
Usability testing with internal users helped refine flows and reduce errors during submissions and approvals. Feedback loops ensured the system matched real operational needs.
Outcome
The final HRMS platform improved efficiency for Yash Raj Films’ HR teams and employees by centralizing processes into a single system. The project highlights my ability to work on complex enterprise software that balances usability with business logic.
